Bald eagles are returning en masse to the Quad Cities.
Each winter more than 2,000 bald eagles spend the winter along the Mississippi River.
People are already out watching for them, many trying to snap the perfect shot.
“It’s amazing to be so close. Have a nice new lens that I can get real close with it. It’s great.”
The Mississippi River Visitors Center on Arsenal Island has scopes set up to watch the eagles.
Some of the best places to see them are at Lock and Dam 14, down river from Lock and Dam 15 and Sunset Park in Rock Island.
