Davenport, Iowa (KWQC) – There is a special show on display at the Figge museum these days, featuring poetry and art work from 36 Iowa students.
The works, created by students in Kindergarten through the 12th grade, were created for the statewide 2014 River of Words contest.
It’s a collaboration with the Iowa Department of Natural resources designed to help students explore the state’s natural and cultural history.
The works on display at the Figge were selected as the winners and the runners-up in the 2014 contest.
You can see them at the museum through Friday.
