15-year-old boy charged with first-degree murder in stabbing of his brother

BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) — Police in Bettendorf say they were dispatched to the 3600 block of Tanglewood Road for a disturbance overnight (Saturday, May 30) at around 12:01 am. Police say when they arrived, they found a 34-year-old male bleeding from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to Genesis East where he was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the victim as Levi Arnold. His brother, 15-year-old Caleb Arnold, was taken into custody and is being charged as a juvenile with first degree murder.

The Pleasant Valley School District announced that Caleb Arnold had just finished his freshman year at Pleasant Valley High School. The school district extends its sympathy to the family.

The incident remains under investigation.
