Iowa City, IA – Iowa improved to 10-0, passing 2009 for the best start in school history. The Hawkeyes are now 1 win away from clinching the Big Ten West title and playing in the conference championship game.

Iowa beat Minnesota 40-35 at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday, their 4th win decided by 1 score.

Jordan Canzeri returned from an ankle sprain, but this game was all about LeShun Daniels Jr who rushed for a career high 195 yards and 3 touchdowns including a 51-yard touchdown run to give the Hawkeyes a 40-28 lead with 2:01 remaining.

Meanwhile, quarterback C.J. Beathard completed 69% of his passes and also rushed for 2 touchdowns. He suffered a hip pointer injury in the 4th quarter, but was able to return the game and said he should be okay.
