UPDATE: The following statement is from The Scott County Family Y: “Several fitness centers were recently victimized by a string of thefts. This included two branches of the YMCA. On this and any other instances, we work with and assist our police. Fortunately, our security and entrance policy was helpful in obtaining a picture of one of the alleged culprits. Everyone who enters a YMCA is required to present identification and have a head shot taken. We will continue to assist authorities in this matter.”

BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) – Bettendorf Police are investigating reports of several lockers that were broken into at Ultimate Fitness, 810 Golden Valley Drive Bettendorf, Iowa.

On September 7, 2016 two black females entered the gym and fraudulently obtained a one-day membership. While in the gym, they entered the women’s locker room and cut locks off lockers, stealing members’ belongings. The suspects then used stolen car keys to gain access into vehicles located in the parking lot, stealing items out of the vehicles.
