Working to end hunger, one step at a time.
On September 25th, approximately 500 people will lace up their sneakers and take part in the 45th annual Quad Cities CROP Hunger Walk.
The six mile hike through downtown Davenport, the District of Rock Island and twice across the Centennial Bridge steps off at 2:00pm from Modern Woodmen Park. Registration begins at 1pm on the plaza in front of the stadium.
The fundraising goal this year is to raise $50,000+ (for the 7th consecutive year). A portion of this money stays local and helps support Churches United’s meal sites and food pantries, Meals on Wheels, Riverbend Food Bank’s Kids’ Cafe, the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, and Humility of Mary Shelter.
The Quad-Cities’ walk is one of the oldest CROP Hunger Walks in the nation, and also one of the most successful.
