SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa (KWQC) — 100 years of rural American music will be featured at the 3rd annual Pioneer Village Harvest Moon Song & Dance Fest on Sunday September 25 from noon-5 at Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village located just north of Scott County Park.
Six bands will be performing Bluegrass, Folk, Western and old-time Country music with songs such as: “Wabash Cannonball,” “Down By the Old Mill Stream,” “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” “Bonnie Blue Eyes,” “Red River Valley,” “North to Alaska,” and “Paper Roses.” Performers include: Stacy Webster, Kendra Swanson, Marc & Brandi Janssen, The Dark Hollow Band, Wes Wells and Country Pride.
Gene & Nancy Morgan will be entertaining children on the boardwalk where kids can make instruments and learn to sing and play old time songs.
Admission is $6 adults, $3 children, under 5 free. Big Dave & Holly’s from LeClaire, IA will be selling giant tenderloins, burgers and fix in’s and our Soda Shop will be serving ice cream cones, caramel apples and pie!
Bring your lawn chairs and settle in for a great afternoon of music in our natural outdoor amphitheater behind the bank. This is a rain or shine event.
