Ribbon cutting for Girl Scout’s Camp Liberty

NEW LIBERTY, Iowa (KWQC) – Girl Scouts hosted their official ribbon cutting to showcase major renovations to Camp Liberty on Thursday, September 15, 2016. The renovations were made to create one central resident-camp property for girls and community members throughout the 38-county council.

According to Girl Scout officials, the 2016 summer camp season proved to be successful with more than 1,300 girls signed up for sessions- almost double the amount from the previous year. Renovations include a new climate-controlled lodge, equestrian center, and high ropes course with 300-foot zipline.
