Teens arrested in Davenport after fleeing from shots fired scene

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — Police say three teens were arrested after leading police on a short pursuit. On Thursday, September 15, 2016 around 9:43 p.m. officers were investigating a shots fired call in the area of 1500 Brady St.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle which was observed leaving the area at a high rate of speed. A short pursuit ensued and the vehicle was stopped in the area of Brady Street and E. Rusholme.

Three teens were arrested in conjunction with the traffic stop. Fredlee Bateman, 18, of Davenport was arrested on a warrant for escape from a residential corrections facility. Edwin Goodwin Jr.,18, of Davenport was arrested on a warrant for operating without owners consent. A 17-year-old was the driver of the vehicle and charged with several traffic charges.

Police say shell casings were recovered in the area and an unoccupied parked vehicle was struck. No injuries were reported. Detectives are conducing follow up on the shots fired incident.
