Two men arrested on weapons, drug charges in Rock Falls

STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) – Sterling police have arrested two men on drug and weapons charges after the search of a home in Rock Falls. Officers with Sterling, Rock Falls and Illinois State Police got a warrant to search the home in the 400 block of W. 19th St. in Rock Falls. According to a news release, the investigation produced multiple handguns, ammunition and items commonly used in the distribution of narcotics.

Police charged 41-year-old Manuel E. Espinosa of Rock Falls with the following:

Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Class 4 Felony
Possession of a Firearm without Requisite FOID Card, Class A Misdemeanor
Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, Class 3 Felony
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated or Altered Manufacturer’s Serial Number, Class 2 Felony
Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Felon, Class 3 Felony

Police also arrested 27-year-old Julian T. Guillen of Rock Falls on the following charges:

Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Class 4 Felony
Possession of a Firearm without Requisite FOID Card, Class A Misdemeanor
Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, Class 3 Felony
Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Felon, Class 3 Felony
No other details of the investigation were released
