(KWQC) – Stores in Iowa and Illinois are among those in 25 states affected by a recall of Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles.
About 10,000 cases of the waffles are being recalled because they could be contaminated with listeria.
The Kellogg Company, which produces Eggo waffles, says routine testing has “identified the potential for contamination.”
Those states involved in the recall are: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Consumers can identify the recalled waffles by date codes on the side of the 12.3-ounce, 10-count packages.
Those who have purchased the recalled waffles are advised to throw them away and contact Kellogg for a full refund.
