EAST MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) — A hobby becomes a budding business. Dave Heald left one job to make way for another.

The East Moline man is a gifted woodworker. A former building maintenance man, Heald decided to try his hand at making custom made furniture, display cases and even a rocking motorcycle.

Dave works from his garage and basement. He uses poplar, cherry, oak, and other types of wood to design his wonderful wood creations. He has an array of power tools and has turned his talent into a full time business.

Salt and pepper shakers, pens, doll furniture, and spinning tops are included among his unique items.

The man with a plan. Custom made! A wizard with wood!
