Davenport’s Brady Street reopened to traffic-UPDATED


UPDATE: The address where the incident occurred was located south of 118 E. 11th Street. The power outage affected one customer who was without power from 8:45 to 9:32 a.m.

Officials say the damage was caused when a contractor hit and damaged some power poles, causing the line to fall.

UPDATE: Brady street has been reopened.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — The Davenport Police Department has temporarily shut down traffic on Brady Street after receiving a call of a power line down in the 1100 block of Brady Street.

The street is closed from about the 800 block to around the 1100 block. Traffic is slow on Main street due to the detour.

The police are asking the motoring public to avoid this area. Stay tuned to KWQC-TV6 and kwqc.com for updates as we receive them.
