MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – The Illinois Department of Transportation issued an update on the John Deere Road widening project at 41st Street.
Officials say the construction has progressed to allow for a traffic adjustment on Coaltown Road at the intersection of 41st Street. Traffic will still be one lane westbound on
Coaltown Road and will be adjusted to the newly constructed pavement on the north side of Coaltown Road. This will allow for the construction of the remaining pavement on the south side.
After the south side has been constructed, two lane traffic will be opened on Coaltown Road.
Officials say that all businesses in the area will have their driveways accessible at all times through this area. Access to the businesses will be provided by closing one entrance to a
business at a time or constructing each entrance half at a time.
