Some roads reopen, some remain closed due to flooding in Cedar County

TIPTON, Iowa (KWQC) – The Cedar County Emergency Management Agency announced it is opening the Rochester Bridge (County Rd. F-44/290th St.) on Fri., Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. Side roads, including Atalissa Rd. south of F-44 to the southern county line as well as West Rochester Ave. will remain closed.

The county says it will continue to monitor flood water and road conditions and reopen roads as soon as it is safe to do so. Officials say do not driver into a flood road.

The Cedar County transfer station site in Tipton on Highway 38 will be accepting debris during normal house.
