UPDATE: Davenport Police say Micah Bates has now been charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Eluding, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and Driving under Suspension. These charges stem from the incident on Monday, October 3rd.
He also is being charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon from an incident which occurred on July 9, 2016 in the 800 block of E River Drive at the Riverside Liquor Store.
Last night Bates was initially transported to Genesis Medical Center for treatment due to a self-inflicted stab wound. He has been released and is being held in the Scott County Jail.
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC)-A wanted man is under arrest after an incident in Davenport Monday night.
Just before 6:30 P.M., Police responded to the 900 block of Sylvan Avenue. A 911 called reported seeing a man with a gun leaving the area in a red ford ranger.
Police located the truck and tried to pull it over in the 1000 block of Tremont Avenue. After a short chase, the suspect ran.
28 year old Micah Bates was then arrested in the 2500 block of Brady Street. He was already wanted by the Iowa department of Corrections-Oakdale for escape, theft 1st degree, habitual offender property, and witness tampering or juror.
Additional charges are pending further investigation.
