Rainbow Trout Stocking at Prospect Pond

MOLINE, Ill.- Trout season will officially open this Saturday, October 8. With the season quickly approaching the Illinois DNR has stocked Prospect Pond (Park 16th St. & 30th Ave.) with hundreds of rainbow trout.

As of 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Prospect Pond is closed to the public and fishing is now allowed, the park will remain open. The pond will reopen for fishing on Saturday, October 8.

An Illinois fishing license is required to fish at both Riverside Pond and Prospect Pond. In addition a trout stamp must be purchased to fish for trout. Illinois fishing license and stamp information can be found here.
