Davenport Officer affected by pepper spray while responding to domestic incident

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC)- Davenport Officers responded to the Motel 6 on West 65th Street around 2:19 p.m for a domestic dispute.

It started in a car outside the Motel 6. Another vehicle saw and called police, but got in an accident on 65th street in the process.

When an officer arrived, the situation escalated and that officer had to use pepper spray.

When pepper spray was used, some of the pepper spray affected the officer responding.

No word on if that officer, or any of the suspects were injured.

Davenport Police, Scott County Sheriff’s Department and Iowa State Patrol responded.

Charges are pending in the investigation.
