BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) – The Lodge Hotel in Bettendorf is officially a thing of the past.
Not quite a month after crews began tearing down the hotel, the property is finally flat, though crews still need to clean away debris from the demolition.
The Bavarian themed hotel was once a beloved landmark of the Quad Cities that many residents considered to be iconic. Over the years, the building fell into disrepair. The decision was made to tear the hotel down once it became a burden and safety hazard.
There’s still no word on what will replace the old hotel.
