Ranger Man Dan

Fran Riley Feature

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – He is a one man show. A singer and storyteller. These days, Ranger Man Dan shares an important message about respect for the great outdoors.

Dan Haughey of Moline portrays a park ranger from Rock Island County. Recently, in front of a captive audience in Moline, he reminded children and adults to respect the land. The environment. To be good stewards.

Dan wrote the script. It includes the “rules of the toad.” Reminding people not to litter. Instead, to “pick it up, clean it up, and make it green.” Trashing the land, he reminds kids, is not cool.

The one man show mentions the value of recycling, and includes stories about the animals children can expect to encounter in the forest or along local waterways.

Singing and storytelling. Ranger Man Dan’s creative and  common sense approach to protecting the environment!
