Davenport Police investigate two shots fired incidents Wednesday night–UPDATED


UPDATE: The first report of shots fired occurred in the 2300 block of Fulton Ave. While officers were on scene, they received a report that a man had gone to Genesis East with a gunshot wound. His injuries are not life-threatening, and police are working to determine if his injuries were related to the incident on Fulton Ave.

The second incident occurred in the 1300 block of E 38th Street. Initial investigations determined that a group of people in the area had been arguing leading up to the shots being fired.

Investigations of these two incidents are still ongoing.


10-13-shots-fired-2DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — Police are investigating after two different shots fired incidents Wednesday night in Davenport.

The first happened just after 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of Kirkwood Blvd. and Jersey Ridge Rd. Davenport Police tell KWQC one car was hit by gunshots, and bullet casings were recovered at the scene. There are no reports of injuries, and no arrests have been made.

10-13-davenport-shots-firedAbout an hour later, police responded to the area of Washington Ave. and E 37th St. for a separate shots fired call .

This time, police say multiple cars were struck by gunshots, but so far no injuries are being reported. Officers were also able to recover bullet casings at the scene.
