(KWQC) – In early September, a Moline police officer purchased a car for a citizen in need. Now their story is headed to the Steve Harvey Show.

After an accident left Danielle Robinson without a car, she was unsure of what to do next. That’s when Officer Patrick Moody stepped in. He purchased a car for Robinson as part of the fulfillment of a promise he had made to himself to do something big for someone that they couldn’t repay once a year.

Their story warmed hearts across the Quad Cities, and now it’s going national.

“We’ve all seen a lot of disturbing and frustrating headlines involving cops in recent days, but it’s important to remember that there are still a lot of officers out there doing truly good things,” The Steve Harvey Show said on their website before announcing that the show wants to give Robinson a chance to personally thank Officer Moody onstage.

Robinson and Officer Moody are scheduled to appear on the show on Monday, October 17. The Steve Harvey Show airs on KLJB Fox 18 at 3:00 pm.
