UPDATE: Heavy police response in Davenport neighborhood early Sunday


UPDATE: Police responded to the 5400 block on Division Street in reference to a possible shooting early Sunday morning. Two adult males were found with non-life threatening gun shot wounds.


29-year-old Romance Armstrong was treated and released. He was then arrested on charges of Intimidation with a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and felon in possession. He is being held at Scott County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

The other injured man was admitted at the hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to “DO WHAT’S RIGHT” and call the Davenport Police Department at 563 326-6125 or submit an anonymous tip via their mobile app entitled “CityConnect Davenport, IA.”


DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Davenport police respond to a report of a possible shooting early Sunday, October 16th. There was a heavy police presence near 53rd and Division Streets.

Police say a call came at around 4:15 a.m. for a possible shooting. Officers taped off a scene and were seen canvassing the area.
