Moline, IL (KWQC) – The American Red Cross is looking for new volunteers in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. More than 3,000 Red Cross workers are currently in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia helping residents there with the long recovery process.
The American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois Region will be hosting a “Hot Shot” training event for new volunteers on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Moline. Registration is required for training. It will provide new volunteers with the skills needed to be a part of the Hurricane Matthew response. It includes two online courses on disaster services.
