DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — A local homeless shelter is hosting a clean-up day, hoping to get its doors back open to people in need.
Kings Harvest is still reeling after an EF1 tornado hit in early October. The storm caused severe damage to the new roof. There was also water damage, forcing the shelter to close temporarily.
Kings Harvest is hosting a “Shelter Clean-Up Day” on Friday, October 21. It’s happening from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
In a recent Facebook post, Kings Harvest asked volunteers to pitch-in.
You’re asked to come to the back door of the building and ring the bell. Even if you can only come for an hour, Kings Harvest said any help is appreciated.
