MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) — Fire crews were called to the America’s Best Value Inn on Airport Road late Thursday morning, October 20, 2016.

Eyewitnesses tell us smoke could be seen coming from the hotel.

According to officials, contractors were cutting metal on the roof and a spark from the cutting tool went into a bucket of glue and the glue caught on fire.

The hotel was evacuated.  No injuries were reported.

We have a crew on scene. Stay tuned to KWQC-TV6 and for updates as we receive them.
