Davenport, IOWA (KWQC) – Taking on the “QC Mustache Challenge” to help keep area kids safe.
The Child Abuse Council of the Quad Cities kicked off fundraising efforts for the annual “QC Mustache Challenge” Thursday.
Participants pledge to let their facial hair grow for four weeks, while raising money for the organization.
Organizers say the funds raised go a long way in helping QCA families.
“We need funding to continue our ‘Safe from the Start’ programs, our ‘Healthy Family’ programs, ‘Boot Camp for Dads,'” Mustache Challenge Committee Member Michele Darland tells us. “There’s so many great things that the Child Abuse Council does to keep kids safe in this community.”
The best mustache and most successful fundraiser receive prizes when the challenge concludes.
Anyone can join the challenge.
