McDuffie gets 15 years for deadly Davenport shooting

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — A Davenport man has been sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison after a deadly shooting last year.

Yolanduis McDuffie, 23, was charged with first degree murder in the death of 33-year-old James Earl Good, Jr.

Yolanduis-McDuffie-SDPolice say McDuffie was in the 1000 block of West 6th Street on April 5, 2015 when he got into an argument with Goode. Goode took off running and McDuffie shot at him multiple times. Goode died from a gunshot wound.

In a plea deal, McDuffie was given ten years for voluntary manslaughter and five years for having a firearm as a felon.
