Henry County, Iowa man hospitalized after son hits him with truck

HENRY COUNTY, Iowa (KWQC) — A man was taken to the University of Iowa Hospital after he was hit by a truck driven by his son Saturday afternoon, October 22, 2016.

Sheriff’s officials say 52-year-old Todd Barton Sr. of rural Mt. Pleasant, Iowa was in a grass field near the intersection of 260th Street and Benton Avenue when he was hit by a 2002 GMC 3500 truck driven by his son, 25-year-old Todd Barton Jr., also of rural Mt. Pleasant.

There is no word on the father’s condition or if any charges are pending. Sheriff’s officials say an investigation was underway.
