BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) — Residents will have more opportunities to have winter-time fun. At Monday night’s City Council meeting, members approved funds for the purchase of an outdoor ice rink.
The plan is to bring a permanent facility to 23rd Street and Middle Road at Middle Park. Officials say they plan to purchase the rink with Zamboni, skates and all required material from a local partner.
Officials say the plan is to purchase the rink and accompanying equipment that was formerly at Bass Street Landing in Moline, Ill. The total cost of the project is estimated at $250,000.
