“Art Meets the River” Exhibit Opening and 2017 Calendar Debut

Boho Chic artists Heidi Brandt and Dee Schricker partner with Bereskin Gallery artists to present Mississippi River Exhibit.

Art and the environment intersect in this month’s Beréskin Gallery exhibition,“Art Meets the River.” Ten award winning regional artists have painted and sculpted with the Mississippi River as their theme for an elaborate exhibition at the Davenport gallery. You may have seen them painting the past three seasons along the waterways – artists Dave Anderson, Pat Bereskin, Brad Bisbey, Gene Brack, Heidi Brandt, Lee Kimball, Dee Schricker , David Zahn and Bob Zeidler will be among the noted artists represented in this Midwest Regional Art exhibition.
A 2017 calendar featuring works inspired by Quad City waterways created by six of those Quad City artists will makes it’s debut. 
A portion of the calendar’s proceeds will benefit River Action, a non-profit organization that strives to foster the environmental, economic, and cultural vitality of the Mississippi River and its riverfront in the Quad City region.

Opening Reception October 28, 6 to 9 p.m.
Exhibit runs through November 19.

Calendars will also be available at all QC Hy-Vee stores, Quad City Arts, QC Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Crafted QC, and The Artery at Gallery West.
