New York (AP) – An airplane carrying Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence slid off the runway while landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport Thursday evening.

Pence told reporters he is fine, and no injuries have been reported.

Officials say the plane made a rough impact during landing, and the pilot slammed on the brakes.

Pence says mud splashed the front windows of the cockpit.

Passengers, including Pence, were evacuated through the back of the plane.
