Police investigate shots fired in Muscatine

UPDATE: Muscatine Police responded to a report of gun shots at approximately 8:37 am on Sunday. When they arrived, they found that a house had been struck with multiple bullets in the 1400 block of King Avenue.

The house was occupied at the time, but no one inside was injured.

Police say that initial findings in the early stages of the investigation indicate that the residence was targeted. They believe this was not a random act, and that there is minimal threat to the general public.

MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) – Muscatine Police are investigating a shots fired call that happened Sunday morning, on the corner of Clay St. and King Ave.

Our crew on scene saw several bullet holes in the side of the house; Muscatine Police were on scene as of noon Sunday.

There are currently no known reports of any injuries related to this incident, and it is unclear whether there was anyone in the house at the time. The incident remains under investigation.
