MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) — Police officers in Moline are packing away the razors for the month of November to help raise money for kids with cancer. Those participating have donated money to Tudi’s Tribe and are a part of the annual facial follicle festival known as No Shave November.
Throughout the month, those participating will be posting photos to the Moline Police Department’s Facebook page. They’ll also be asking for the communities help in supporting Trudi’s Tribe.
“We promise to post several pictures throughout the month of Officers rocking beards, mustaches, soul patches, goatees, or whatever else they may grow on their face!”
Officials say 67 members of the Moline Police Department are participating in the charity event.
If you’d like to make a contribution, donations can be dropped off at the Moline Police Department. Checks should be made out to the “Moline Police Benevolent Association.” If your donation of at least $25 is dropped off to the Police Department before November 7, 2016 at 5 p.m., you will receive a powder blue Moline PD No Shave November T-shirt.
