2016 General Election: Questions you’ll find on the ballot

QUAD CITIES (KWQC) – Aside from choosing a new President of the United States and state and local representatives, there are some ballot questions that voters will have to decide. In every county in Illinois, voters will be asked whether to change the state constitution. The so-called Lock-Box measure would prohibit funds earmarked for transportation from being spent on other things. In Rock Island County, voters are also being asked to increase the sales tax to support schools and another ballot question asks for a sale tax increase to supplement county law enforcement.

In Henry County, Illinois, voters will decide in the Kewanee and Wethersfield school districts should merge.

“Geese Strong Committee” urging Kewanee community to vote no on a consolidation plan

There are also ballot questions for public safety in Henderson County; bonds for a municipal building in East Dubuque; a tax for a flood levee in Galena and election questions in Polo and Mt. Carroll.
