Thread Magic

GALESBURG, Ill. (KWQC) — The patterns are intricate. The thread is colorful. Ellen Anne Eddy is in a material world at her Galesburg home.

She weaves and stitches, designing stunning quilts and embroidered wall tapestries using her sewing machine. The vibrant colors are hallmarks of her work.

She developed a passion for this type of art about thirty years ago. Her art makes a statement about nature. Day Lilly Dance, Butterfly Garden, and Swimming Upstream are a few of the titles.

Eddy is a Knox College graduate. Her work is featured in books, magazines, and museums. A gifted woman who has not allowed dyslexia to get in the way of her talent.

Eddy says the world is alive, beautiful, and full of color. Enjoy it. Absorb it.
