MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) — Drawings and deadlines. It’s a way of life for Bill Hannan at this time of the year.
The 78 year old Moline artist is in the process of designing his sixty first annual Christmas Card. This year’s card is based on a poem by Eugene Field. The title is: Jest ‘fore Christmas.
The theme is about a young boy named Billy who is trying to make himself look good for Santa. A light hearted approach to the holiday. Bill Hannan even includes a photo of himself on the card’s cover.
The ink portraits and design are spectacular. Bill will mail these cards to family and many of his closest friends. They will go all over the country.
Bill says designing these cards is his way to escape from the hustle and bustle of Christmas commercialism. He expects to have all the cards in the mail by Thanksgiving.
A gift. Bill’s way of saying Merry Christmas! A Hannan Christmas Card!
