DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — The Quad City Symphony Orchestra announced the details of the 2016 annual holiday pops concerts at the Adler Theatre. This year, the orchestra will be sharing the stage with some of the Quad Cities’ best ensembles for two shows on November 19, 2016.

Ring in the season with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra as they share the stage with the Quad Cities’ best ensembles for two thrilling shows on November 19th at the Adler Theatre. This high-energy celebration of the Holidays will feature all of the classics you know and love, an “Audience-Choice” Nutcracker, and a Hallelujah Chorus sing-along.
“This year’s Holiday Pops Concerts have something for everyone, and will be a musical celebration of our communities’ astounding wealth of talent with surprises for the whole family,” says Benjamin Klemme, QCSO Associate Conductor. “I am thrilled that the QCSO will have the opportunity to collaborate with so many artistic partners, and look forward to sharing the sounds of singing choirs and ringing bells with our audiences.”
Ballet Quad Cities, and RiverBend Bronze will join the QCSO for both sensational shows. The 2:00pm matinee will feature the Sanctuary Choir of First Presbyterian Davenport, and the Quad City Symphony Youth Choir, and the 8:00pm evening performance will showcase Quad City Choral Arts and the Westbrook Singers gospel group.
Holiday Pops is made possible this year by Modern Woodmen, US Bank and the Bechtel Trusts. Two dollars per sold ticket will benefit Genesis Music Therapy for hospice patients and families.
