Crews called to battle Moline apartment fire-UPDATED


MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) — Crews were called to battle an apartment fire Tuesday morning. The call came in to 5500 block of 34th Avenue, just before 10:30 a.m. on November 15, 2016.

Some residents tell KWQC that they were alerted to the fire by firemen banging on the doors to evacuate the building.

Fire officials say the fire appears to have started on the second floor, but they are still unsure of how the fire started. We are told at least one person was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

We’re told multiple fire departments were called to assist Moline fire fighters, as multiple units were on fire in the complex.

The fire remains under investigation.
