ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) – It’s been eight days since the 2016 presidential election — so is it time for talk about the 2020 race?
Not yet, at least for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. He’s told reporters that he’s focusing on his current job, and that he still plans to run for a third term in 2018. He’s among several prominent Democrats whose names have appeared on lists of possible presidential contenders.
Cuomo has said he has “grave” disagreements with Republican President-elect Donald Trump but has vowed to work with the fellow New Yorker on issues affecting the state.
Cuomo was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Bill Clinton.
