Burlington School District lock down lifted-UPDATED

UPDATE: As of 1:30 p.m., the lock down at all Burlington Schools was lifted. Buses and dismissals will be as normal.

BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC) — The Burlington School District was placed on lock down on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 by suggestion of the Burlington Police Department.

According to Greg Reynolds with the Burlington Superintendent’s Office tells us all schools in the Burlington School District are on lock down as a precautionary measure at the recommendation of the Burlington Police Department.

They tell us afternoon preschool has been canceled. Bus routes are being held for now. Parents can pick their children up from the school building if they want.
