FORT MADISON, Iowa (KWQC) — Organizers for “Mistletoe on Main Street” have announced the details for their event, scheduled for Saturday, November 26, 2016 in downtown Fort Madison, Iowa.
On Saturday November 26th Fort Madison Main Street is hosting a Christmas Open House in conjunction with Small Business Saturday. The holiday spirit will shine bright as stores are offering holiday savings and tasty treats for their customers. Fort Madison’s local shops offer quality, unique gifts- along with a personal touch of customer service that one doesn’t find in big box stores.
While you are searching for that one special gift, your family can ring in the holiday season with Mistletoe on Main Street from 10am to 2 pm. There will be fun for the whole family on Main Street! Children can enjoy a visit with Santa, as well as create crafts. The North Lee County Historical Society will be offering pictures with the “North Pole Express” train engine in Riverview Park. Horse wagon rides will take place from 10am – 2pm. Tickets for rides are available at The Artisans Next Door, 616 7th Street, that day.
New this year, Old Fort Madison will have s’mores available for roasting from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participating downtown shops will have specials, helping you save money while celebrating the holiday season. The Elks Club will be hosting a Vendor Blendor from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with your favorite gifts from Perfectly Posh, LuLaRoe, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Thirty One, and so much more!
