Rhythm City riverboat ready to leave Quad Cities

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — Officials with the Rhythm City Casino say the riverboat they called home for many years is about to leave the Quad Cities area. Officials say the boat is scheduled to leave on Friday, November 25, 2016.

The boat was sold months ago, but we are told that the new owners have been waiting for the river level to drop enough to safely move the vessel.

Rhythm City officials tell us the boat will shove off around noon. They say the boat will be taken out into the water where they will check to make sure it is still seaworthy and can maneuver properly. If all goes well, the boat will be off to its new home.
