Driver ID’d in Davenport pedestrian accident-UPDATED

UPDATE: Police say a northbound pickup truck was turning right onto W 3rd Street from Sturdevant when the accident happened. Police say the driver didn’t make a proper turn and turned into the lane on the far side of the road, hitting the three pedestrians.

Police say two women and one man were hit by the truck. All sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Driver of the pickup, identified as 19-year-old Jesus Pizano of Davenport, was cited for improper turn, no insurance, and expired registration. An investigation was being conducted by the Davenport Police.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — Police say three people were hurt after getting hit by a vehicle Monday evening, November 21, 2016. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at Third and Sturdevant.

We’re told the three people hit were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There is no word on their condition or if they were released from the hospital.

Police have not released the name of the driver or given any indication if charges are pending.
