DIXON, Ill (KWQC) – Police in Dixon says they have made three arrests in connection with a recent armed robbery at the U.S. Cellular store. According to the Dixon Facebook page, the arrests stem from a hold-up at the mobile phone store on Keul Rd. around 7:30 p.m.,Thurs., Nov. 10, 2016. That’s when three masked suspects, armed with handguns, entered the store and ordered employees into the back room, where they were tied up. The suspects made off with electronics as well as cash from the store. No one was hurt.
Officers were not able to locate the suspect vehicle the night of the robbery, but were aware of a similar robbery, in Rock Falls on the previous day. In fact, there were numerous similar robberies reported across northern Illinois. Police say eyewitness accounts and other information led them to Kankakee, Ill. where they located the suspects.
Police arrested 20-year-old Eddie D. Clark, Jr. and 24-year-old Michael Kane-Calhoun on charges of armed robbery and unlawful restraint. Further investigation led to the arrest David Kendrick, 23, also of Kankakee on Nov. 22.
Police say two more suspects are being sought.
