DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A teen accused of speeding into a construction zone and killing a worker in September has entered a guilty plea. According to court records, 18-year-old Sebon Reese pleaded guilty to a charge of homicide by motor vehicle and felony eluding. As part of the plea agreement, a charge of child endangerment will be dismissed at sentencing. Reese faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
He was charged after driving on Highway 61 in Scott County on Sept. 1, 2016 and striking construction worker 62-year-old Willie Holley, who died at the scene. Reese also had a younger sibling in the car with him at the time.
Sentencing is set for Jan. 5, 2017.
