Sterling, ILLINOIS (KWQC) – The Sterling Police Department is investigating multiple retail thefts and a hit-and-run accident which occurred at County Market, 210 W. 3rd Street, Sterling, and Discount Liquor, 301 Avenue G, Sterling, on Wednesday.
The Sterling Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying two white male subjects in their twenties.
At the time of the first incident at County Market, Police say one subject was wearing a camouflage jacket, blue athletic pants with the “Chicago Bears” emblem, and white tennis shoes.
They say the second subject was wearing a black zip-up with the word “Bulls” on the back, a red t-shirt, blue jeans, and black flip-flops.
Police say the same subjects later committed a retail theft at Discount Liquor.
They were observed leaving County Market in a silver Pontiac Montana van. Police say they struck a vehicle and fled the scene.
