DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A raid this week netted two drug arrests, along with crack cocaine. According to Davenport police, members of the Tactical Operations Bureau got a warrant in an ongoing drug investigation and searched two men in a vehicle located in a parking lot at Kimberly and Eastern around 8:34 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2016.
Police say both suspects ran from the vehicle, but were quickly apprehended. Officers say inside the vehicle, they recovered a loaded handgun, approximately 27.85 grams of crack cocaine, and $2,500 in cash. The suspects denied having any knowledge of the contraband found in the car.
Police arrested Melvin Johnson, age 22, and Brandon Pullman, age 25, both of Rock Island on charges of conspiracy, felon in Possession, possession with intent, and drug tax stamp violation. In addition, Johnson had several outstanding warrants.
Police also say the gun located in the vehicle had been reported stolen in Davenport.
