Police investigate two overnight shootings in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Davenport Police are investigating two shootings overnight that they believe may be related.

At approximately 2:43 am on Saturday, Davenport police responded to a shots-fired call in the 1600 block of West 3rd Street. An adult male was transported to Genesis Hospital and later to Iowa City Hospital; his injuries were non-life threatening. The man told police that he had been robbed by three individuals and was shot during the robbery.

At approximately 4:17 am, another adult male with a gunshot wound arrived at Genesis hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Davenport Police detectives are working to verify the location at which the second man was shot, though they believe these two incidents are related.

Police are asking that anyone with information regarding either of these incidents call the Davenport Police Department at 563-326-6125 or submit an anonymous tip via mobile app called “CityConnect Davenport, IA.”
