Wanted man in Burlington shooting turns himself in to police


UPDATE: According to Burlington Police at 5:15 P.M. on Wednesday, November 30th, Alfred David Buford turned himself in at the Des Moines County Correctional Center.

BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC)-Burlington police are searching for a wanted man.

On Monday, November 21, at around  11:18 P.M., Burlington Police were called to the scene of a shooting at 2103 Williams Street.

Once on scene, Officers found Donald Craig Hunt, 27.  He had been shot in the lower body, and was treated at Great River Medical Center.

As a result of an investigation, detectives have now obtained an arrest warrant for Alfred David Buford, 20. He is wanted for the charge of Attempted Murder in regards to this case. Buford should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information regarding the case or Buford’s location is asked to contact police.
